The Design Properties dialog box lets you make changes to certain properties of a design. This dialog box opens when you select the design in the My Designs view and click the Open command.

If the design is a template, you can designate it as a public template using the Public box on the Design Properties dialog box. Public templates are displayed in the My Designs view of other users so they can be shared.

Making changes to design components requires the use of the Design Assistant. See Using the Design Assistant.

To edit the properties of a design

1. From the list of designs in the My Designs view, select the design that you want to edit.
2. From the File menu, point to Open and then click Design to open the Design Properties dialog box.
   Or right-click the design and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.

   Note: If the design is open in the Design Assistant, select Properties from the File menu to open the Design Properties dialog box.
3. Make the necessary changes to the information and click OK.
